Mikolaj Pontus

Field Services

Mikolaj Pontus was born in Gorzow, Poland, and migrated with his family to Detroit in the ‘80s. He graduated from Detroit’s Wayne State University with a BS in Criminal Justice and earned an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology from Schoolcraft College in Michigan.

Mikolaj worked at hospital-equipment-maker Beckman Coulter programming controls and providing technical support for hospitals and labs. As a field service engineer, he worked on chemistry
analyzers and systems automation projects. Mikolaj was also the director of a Michigan country club program and coached men’s tennis at Wayne State University.

Mikolaj loves to cook. He’s becoming skilled in the art of barbecuing and loves to cook breakfasts. He’s been playing the guitar since he was 14
and is a martial arts fan—mostly a spectator, but occasionally working the
heavy bag—it’s great exercise!
