Jordan Hornback

Specification Sales

Jordan Hornback grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural
Engineering, focusing on lighting and electrical systems. As part of the
engineering program, she had the opportunity to intern with a lighting designer in Hong Kong, which fueled her passion for lighting. While in school, she worked as an assistant lighting designer for a several theatrical performances, which helped her understand the way in which light can be used as an artistic palette – with color, intensity and  distribution as tools.

Prior to joining the 16500 team, Jordan worked at Los Angeles’ Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design for more than three years. She began as a junior designer, was soon promoted to senior designer, and worked on a wide range of projects, including office renovations, educational buildings, including the Glorya Kaufman International School of Dance on the USC campus, museums, galleries and exterior gardens/plazas.

Jordan loves to hike and go camping. She also scuba dives—her favorite experience was in Fiji where she went on 11 dives. Jordan is also interested in travel; she spent 5 weeks in Europe and loved the architecture of France, Italy and spain—especially Gaudi’s fanciful architecture in Barcelona.
