Business Operations

Jeanine is in charge of day-to-day office operations at 16500 and was part the founding team that goes back to 1998. Reporting directly to Paul McDowell, she manages finances, including banking, 401K, payables and receivables, taxes and insurance. Jeanine manages payroll and HR, office culture/policies, facilities management and oversees legal policies and contracts. If you need to know where something is, how it is done, or who does it, there’s a very good chance that Jeanine will know. Jeanine was born and raised in the Midwest and graduated from the University of Wisconsin/Madison with a degree in Economics. What she remembers most about her senior year was that it was one of the coldest winters on record, day after day of plummeting temperatures with minus 70-degree wind-chill. Within a week of graduation, she bought a one-way ticket to California, enrolled at UCBerkeley and received a Certificate of Human Resources.

When Jeanine’s not working on her house, she hikes, runs and cycles. She loves foreign travel and joins her friends at music festivals around the country. Something that will surprise you about Jeanine: after courageously battling and surviving a severe case of Lyme Disease for six years, she went on to finish multiple triathlons, a half ironman and biked through four developing countries.
